This rare original colorful two sided work of art is by a talented Quebec artist with the initials D.G. The style is a combination of Impressionism, Abstract and Naiveté. The drafting is excellent and the colors are vivid and bold. The black contours add a dramatic look to the landscape scenes. Both compositions are in a rural setting. One side, depicts a composition of a rural log house surrounded by colorful fields of abstract vegetation. The other side, depicts a young conservatively dressed lady resting on a hammock and another lady fetching water from a well. The composition is loose and colorful. The artist must have had lots of fun painting these two works. I was unable to determine who the artist is. The letter “Q” in the title is shaped in the form of a heart telling the viewer: “I Love Quebec”.
