Selling a very very old Antique 17th. Century (1700-1799) Pair of Dutch Delft Dog Figurines from the Medieval time and Jacobean Baroque Period.... also known as the Dutch Golden Age. These rare Dog Figurines are anywhere from 323 years old to 224 years old. Circa 17th. Century.
They are a pair of Tin Glazed Blue White Painted Dog Figurines that are around 4.5" long x 1.75" wide x 3.5" tall. Each on their own base of the same material.
Manufactured in The Netherlands and Danish descent.
They do have chips and some loss of bits like the tail on one and part of the tail on the other. They are around 300 years old and from a very medieval hard period. Undoubtedly they took some bumps and bruises along their path of existence. Still very amazing piece of history from a long way back.
Its rare to find Delftware Figurines readily available from the 17th. century. There is a good bit from the 18th. century and quite a bit from the early 19th. century.
They have been valued at over $300.00 for the pair. In Excellent condition these would be around $2500.00 or more for the pair. I am selling them for a lot less.
