Description: Antique / vintage oak hardwood barrister / elastic / lawyer / stacking bookcase / bookshelf display cabinet with a warm golden brown finish. Made in the c1900s to 1920s, likely in Canada or the USA. Top cap is integral to the top tier, and the legs are integral to the bottom tier. Total of 5 tiers and 5 parts. Mission or Arts and Crafts style – very straight and simple. Solid oak legs and sides. Plywood back boards, with (maple?) veneer on interior faces. The bottom two door less tiers are of a red-brown tone, while the top three tiers are more of a gold-brown.
All 3 tiers which have Standard Desk brands on their backs, also have a sliding glass door, and the following numbers on their backs: 111 and 151.
Dimensions: 73.75” H x 34” W x 11.75” D. Effective heights inside tiers: 10”; 14”
Condition: Very good vintage condition (9 / 10). Minor water stains on top. Excellent condition of plywood back boards, with no delamination of plies. Minor scratches to the finish.
Top cap surface has some finish flecking. The glass door is missing from two of the tiers, however the door pivot screws and tubular rotational door bushings are present on the upper front interior of these 2 tiers. Some cracking on the back plywood layer on the tallest tier. Completely washed in May 2023.
One wooden (pine?) horizontal cross bar, from the top of a tier is missing: 33.25” L x 2.5” W x 0.75” Th.
