Project Honda Element (Out of Province Car)

Project/Parts Car - Please read carefully the description. I have a running a driving Honda Element 4x4. Car is in decent shape for its age and engine, gearbox run well. New brake lines and rotors were installed and Honda did the corrosion recall last year and declared the car fit to drive. However, as this car came from Ontario it required an out of province inspection. That inspection failed and I don't have the time to go through what seems like a ridiculously strict process, for example they said the car was too corroded, yet Red Deer Honda did a recall on the underside corrosion and provided a video showing the work and said the car was road worthy. Indeed, I was told the inspection expects the car to be in "as new" condition, and for a car with this amount of miles and age that seems unrealistic. As such I am selling it as a project or parts car, and this is reflected in the price. I did a fair amount of work on this car to get it back on the road, including brake work, fixing airbag issues and replacing the odometer unit, which is a common failure point for these cars. As such the odometer doesn't reflect the actual mileage, but I did document the change when I replaces the odometer, as the unit needs to function for the dashboard lights to work, which is needed for it to pass an inspection. That paperwork is included, as is the original, bad odometer. The second hand working odometer could be programmed to reflect the actual ECU mileage, which would be easier than soldering the bad original unit. Bodywork is in pretty good condition, some surface rust and the paint isn't the best as the previous owner had it wrapped. Happy to point out any other issues I know of. If you want a decent parts car for your Element, or have the time, patience and means to get through the out of province, there is decent car there fore sure on what is becoming a collectable platform.
