Grow Plan Fertilizers in Choiceland Saskatchewan is a full-service independent Ag retail business serving Choiceland and the surrounding farming community. We are looking to hire mechanical support staff to work on our team. We have a 60x100 heated shop on our site in town which serves as home base for all things maintenance. The job is full time year around with two busy service seasons during spring seeding and fall fertilizer application.
Requirements:
- Mechanically inclined with experience working on heavy trucks/trailers and other Ag equipment
- 1A an asset but not a requirement. Willingness to acquire 1A if don’t possess currently
- Welding and fabricating skills an asset
- Ability to work longer days 7 days a week in the spring seeding season and fall fertilizer application season
- Experience with anhydrous ammonia an asset but not required. Willingness to learn and be trained to handle required.
Job Role will include and not be limited to:
- Heavy duty truck and trailer service and maintenance
- Fertilizer handling and application equipment service and maintenance
- Overall plant maintenance
- Handling incoming inventory such as dry bulk fertilizer
- Delivery of products to customers
Choiceland is a small farming community located 100 km East of Prince Albert or 42 km west of Nipawin. We have a k-12 school, a curling rink, a skating rink, ball diamonds, 2 halls and a day care project in the planning/building phase. Choiceland is situated in close proximity to great fishing, camping and snowmobile opportunities with many lakes and vast forest in the area. Only 15 minutes from Wapiti down hill Ski and board resort.
