Roofing Laborers execute tasks related to roof installation and repair. Responsibilities encompass removing old roofing, applying roofing materials, and ensuring job site cleanliness. Mastery in using various hand tools and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation of roofs on residential or commercial buildings
Carry roofing materials and tools up ladders or scaffolds
Measure and cut roofing materials to fit around vents, chimneys, or other structures
Remove old roofing materials and debris from job sites
Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed at all times
Clean up job sites at the end of each workday
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Perform other general labour duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
Knowledge of proper safety procedures and regulations
Experience with roofing tools and equipment
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
Physical fitness and endurance
Good communication skills and ability to report progress and issues to supervisors
