Bad Papa Humbucker liquidation

This list is updated regularly so please check back often! This ad features pickups that have been discounted for any of a multitude of reasons and changes quickly as sets are sold and new ones are added!

These humbuckers are all built to the same standards as my current models but may contain parts I no longer use (ex. brass baseplates) or have resistance values I no longer offer (too much overlap) or might even just be a clone of something popular I wanted to build. They still have killer tone and are only being discounted to make space, not because they are lesser quality. All 4 conductor wire pickups can be wired for series, split or parallel. There won't be sound samples for these models but we have test guitars available in right and left handed so you can try before you buy. Please ask. This list will be updated with new sets added as sets are sold. ----------------------- Cthulhu set, $240 -This is a standard Bad Papa Chtulhu set. Specs are in the charts in the photos. Why is this set discounted? It has a few components I no longer use, like brass baseplates. The differences are purely cosmetic though so don't worry! It's sounds the same as the modern set, but for consistency purposes I just can't be passing it off as the current model. I have a reputation to worry about you know! Duncan Custom bridge/59 Model neck set, $160 neck - 7.6k, Alnico V bridge - 14.9k, small ceramic -clones of the Duncan Custom bridge and 59 neck model. Bad Papa now has similar versions called the Ferocity and Heritage models.

Blackened Winter set, $180 neck - 13.0k, triple ceramic bridge - 16.8k, triple ceramic -This set is built to exact spec but sounds slightly different (less mids) due to the pole pieces. With screws made of 1215 steel they should sound almost identical to the Duncan set, if you were inclined.

Super Shred set, black with silver or all black (2 sets available), $200 neck - 13.4k, triple ceramic bridge - 15.7k, triple ceramic -This set eventually evolved into Bad Papa's Shredder set. The goal was a set with all the aggressiveness of Blackened Winter but without any muddiness and the ability to down tune without losing clarity. The final consensus was that they're great for rock, punk, and metal. Perfect for cutting through a mix. This set has a darker neck than the final Shredder set.

Full Shred set, clear, $140 - SOLD neck - 12.8k, Alnico V bridge - 17.0k, Alnico V -clones of Full Shred by Duncan . Blacker Winter set, black, $120 neck - 13.3k, triple ceramic bridge - 17.0k, triple ceramic -This set is now known as Fimbulvetr. It is dark yet tight and clear. The neck is nothing short of downright evil. Discounted because of light scratches and an asymmetric coil design that plays nice on most, but not all amps.

Ares set, black, $220 neck - 7.4k, large ceramic bridge - 15.2k, triple ceramic -Inspired by Duncan Invaders but with more clarity and a better affinity for down tuning. This is my deprecated version, but don't worry the differences are only cosmetic. There's a high pass filter in the neck pickup to help cut through any mix.

Not shown: Rocksteady/Bebop set, black, $200 -check menu in photos for specs -This set is better known as the JB/Jazz combo. Our version offers the same familiar tone with a few slight tweaks to give both pickups better presence in a mix. Discounted because I no longer use brass baseplates. Pearly Gates/Custom Custom set, black, $200 -Bad Papa's version is known as the Divinity/Ferocity 2 set, check the menu for specs -this set is a clone of the original Duncans

Free basic install on all sets. Satisfaction is guaranteed. If you hate your new set, like just really can't effing stand it for any reason, bring it back!!! As long as it's within 30 days you can apply the purchase value towards a trade-in for a new set. At Bad Papa we don't believe in such things as bad pickups (poorly made is different), but some pickups just aren't a good match for certain guitars or styles. Sometimes you just never know until you try it, and we understand that!
