Salmon Faverolle chicks Just hatched this weekend, purebred salmon faverolle chicks - 15.00 each, straight run. These are purebred chicks I hatched myself. My hens and roos are from high quality Canadian and USA bloodlines - not hatchery birds. I have another batch set to hatch April 28/29 as well. Also offering hatching eggs if you prefer to hatch your own. The Salmon Faverolle is a charming and unique-looking chicken breed originally from France. It’s known for its sweet, docile personality and distinctive appearance. Coloring: Hens have a beautiful salmon-pink to creamy-white body with a darker, more reddish-tan chest and back. They often have white underparts and a fluffy, light beard and muffs. Roosters look completely different—flashier, with black and white coloring and iridescent green-black tail feathers. Feathers: Soft and fluffy, especially around the face and legs. They have feathered legs and five toes (most chickens have four). Size: Medium-sized, with hens weighing around 6.5 lbs and roosters up to 8 lbs. Temperament: Exceptionally friendly, calm, and gentle. Great with kids and other chickens, often lower in the pecking order because of their sweet nature. Egg Production: Good layers of medium to large light brown or tinted eggs. They lay fairly consistently and can even continue through winter. Other Traits: Their comical, fluffy appearance and quirky personalities make them delightful to watch. They're also relatively quiet birds.
