Samson (DOB early to spring 2024)

Breed: Looks to be a Rottweiler/Mastiff Mix Sex: Male Vaccinated: Yes Altered: yes Microchip: yes Located at Meadow Lake, SK

Stray from the Provincial Park area he came in with a young female mid-March. Due to their situation and condition at intake he maybe food aggressive initially so any home with other pets or small kids should be careful during feeding and treat time. He has gotten better with time at the shelter and the knowledge he'll receive regular meals (twice a day at the shelter).

Samson is very people oriented and is quite a sweet, big guy. He loves to get attention and pets. Appears to be non-reactive to female dogs (got along with Delilah and they may well have lived together in their previous life). Delilah has moved on so he has now been spending time in the perimeter area with another young adult large breed female - Birch, and does well with her. We have not mixed him with any male dogs so are not sure how he would be with another male at this time. He recently met some young kids at the shelter and was very good with them; calm and collected! He stayed relaxed and didn’t jump on them He is good at taking treats from the hand and despite the video of this on youtube- he will sit for treats when asked. Samson is now neutered, chipped and vaccinated and ready to move out!

Our regular dog adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, rabies vaccination and microchip for dogs old enough at adoption time.
