Description

5.9 Cummins Diesel Pusher, Alison transmission – 105,000 miles

AMMENITIES:

- Propane furnace - 2 functioning air conditioner units - Convection oven/microwave unit - Propane/electric fridge - Kitchen table with two original chairs - Queen bed in bedroom and pull-out twin bed in living room couch - Built-in speakers and sound system, connects via Bluetooth - Large, functional awning for outside living space - Large sealed and ducted basement area for secure storage - Hand-painted snow leopard mural on back end – I call her Lobelia

This beauty has been well-loved and cared for in the three years she has been with me. She is road-worthy and also big enough for full-time living. I lived in her full-time for two years, and for the last year she has been sitting on a pad, plugged in with space heaters or out on the road on adventures. We are island-based, have done trips around here and also took her across BC and into Alberta for a month-long road trip/tour in September 2024.

Engine has been regularly serviced and updated with new parts when required. House is in original condition, solid wood cabinets, leather pull-out couch, wood/laminate floors. Walk-around queen bed in bedroom, shower/toilet/sink/closet in center, and kitchen/living area up front (the three sections can be divided by wooden doors which slide out).

I am sad to let her go! But know we are not using her to the full-extent and now that I am not living in it is time for her to maybe become someone else’s home, or adventure. These are well-built units and the Sahara is a very sought-after model for many reasons, including their large tanks and the paired ability to be off-grid for long periods. No mould or serious issues – she is an old girl but in good condition.

I have owned this unit for three years and have spent $14K (at least) on new parts, maintenance and services. More specifics listed below, including any purchases/maintenance/updates I added during ownership. Text or call for more information, showings will be arranged for serious inquiries only.

UPDATES TO HOUSE: - Queen RV mattress. Restwell Organic cotton/fiber, environmentally sustainable materials. Always used with mattress cover - Propane system tested and set regulation - Installed in-wall mount propane detector - New house batteries (4 x 6v, in parallel) - New chassis batteries (2 12v, deep cycle) - Victron multiplus II, 3000VA Inverter/Charger (2 x 120v) system with bluetooth link - 50A power head rebuild, plus new cord. - 50A/30A adapter, plus 75’ of 30A cord (100’ in total) - External propane fitting and hose installed for external propane tank use (used for long-term living or parking), comes with external 100lb propane tank - Diode in hot water tank replaced

UPDATES TO ENGINE: - New Alternator - New Tachometer - New Coolant reservoir (new August 2024) - New Hand primer/fuel pump - Accelerator pedal fixed (was sticking) - PAC brake hooked up - Various signal & brake lights repaired - Regular engine services @ Berk’s Intertruck. Tires: 80%, Brakes: 75% (estimated, 1000km since last service)

COMES WITH: - various house parts, original lamp shades, original blinds (removed), extra fuses, oil, hydraulic fluid, diesel additive, extra fluids. 100 lb propane tank for external placement.

ISSUES: - Onan propane generator not-serviceable *I have hunted for many techs to fix this but haven’t found anyone who will work on propane generators, everyone has told me to “purchase a generator and attach it externally” if I really want one… I didn’t need one because I had access to full hook-ups. - Back arm of awning doesn’t extend smoothly, sticks and needs part replaced *I have tried to source this part over the years with no luck. Awning is usable but back arm can be annoying to extend/retract - General wear/tear on wallpaper, plastic panelling for engine gauges has a crack - Water damage around skylight in bathroom. Apparently, it was from years ago when the skylight broke, and is on ceiling only. No change during time of ownership. - Fridge works off of power/electric but have not been able to run it successfully off the propane. Have had techs look at this too.
