Very complete and original VW Beetle chassis, suspension and transaxle in excellent condition as shown in photos. Pan VIN # indicates 1969, but likely very early 69 before the factory transitioned to IRS. Super solid chassis that still has a lot of the original factory paint and only mild surface rust from Alberta. Even has completely solid jacking posts. Chassis will not need ANY welding or pan repairs, just pressure wash and paint. Rear suspension is a pre 1969 swing arm rear with helper springs and stock rear brakes with 5 bolt aluminum adaptors that fit those very non stock BMW rims fairly well.... so maybe the adaptors are for early VW bolt style? Torsion bar front end with updated aftermarket disc brakes, pedal cluster, master brake cylinder, steering box and column included. Four speed swing arm manual transaxle included. Bring four 5 bolt VW rims ? with tires that hold air for transportation, or flat bed it home on the BMW (LOL !!!) rims. I walked all over the pan (235 lbs) to check if there was any weakness. Nope... very solid. Just light surface rust. Excellent for a chassis that is 55 years old. Perfect for a stock VW restoration or dune buggy project.
