This cozy and fully renovated waterfront cottage is located on a scenic municipal road which is great to take a walk on and enjoy the beauty of the season, whichever season it may be. The cottage greets you with a large, expansive deck with railings and gates which can be left open or closed. The deck with chairs, picnic table and a Weber BBQ looks down over the garden and fire pit area and then onto the bay that enters into Lower Buckhorn Lake. When you enter the cottage, you will find an inviting open concept with a large maple dining table that looks out onto the deck, cozy living room with comfortable furniture including TV with satellite and a fully equipped kitchen. Wifi is included as well.
There are 3 bedrooms, with new beds and mattresses within the last 3 years, the master bedroom has a walkout to the front deck and a view out to the water. You will need to bring your own sheets, pillowcases and towels as well as comforters/pillows. The brand new bathroom (within the last 3 years) is very clean and the stand up shower is a tiling masterpiece, completed by a very special son :)
There is a bunkie, which is currently a storage shed, and boathouse down by our private dock, where you can park your motor boat (if you bring one) or use to fish off of! The boat house has a tin boat, paddleboat, canoe and kayaks that are available for your use - depending on the season! Adult lifejackets/safety kits are available for your use as well. The fishing is very popular here and our very first renters caught a 26" Pickerel!
A 10 minute drive will take you into the Town of Buckhorn, with a Foodland grocery, drug, convenience and a hardware store, LCBO plus dining/take out options and of course bait and tackle shops. There are multiple things to do and see in the area and you will find a booklet at the cottage with further details, or there are games/guitar and cards available as well for the days you just want to stay put!
